Culinary Competition at the International Hotel School

• Captured action footage of the competition in one of the kitchens, with approximately 15 students cooking and, additionally lecturers monitoring their progress.

• Conducted thorough checks on my camera battery, ensuring continuous filming without interruptions.

• I was given the task to compress an 18-minute interview into a 20-30 second Instagram reel that complies with the company's brand image.
• Utilising DaVinci Resolve- which I was not familiar with- with the purpose of training.
• Create a finished impactful edit that is colour-graded, audio-balanced, has graphics and subtitles.
• Showcase the final edit to the entire office for feedback.
• Provided technical support during shoots when needed.

• Assisted in planning and managing the production of the promotional video.
• Worked in liaison with the director to get creative and engaging shots.
• Assisted in directing the actors/musicians for the shoot.
• Adjusted the drone camera settings for the different lighting conditions and required shots.
• Worked efficiently to reduce downtime and obtain all required footage before sunset.
• Ensuring safe drone operations while complying with relevant regulations.

Rank: Third Officer (On container cargo ships)

• Ensure safe navigation when on the bridge as the Officer of the Watch (OOW) in compliance with the Master's Standing Orders, with ships consisting of crews of between 18-25 members and ships over 200 meters in length.
• Completed detailed log entries faithfully, providing accurate records of voyages.
• Assist in maintaining the stability, trim and seaworthiness of the ship.
• Monitor loading and unloading of cargo and its treatment during the voyage.
• Instruct and supervise all crew members in the use of safety, environmental protection, firefighting and lifesaving equipment.
