Work Description
Middleburg Hospital- Worked as a junior radiographer.
Responsibilities included doing patients of various ages from age 0 to 100 years old, which had diseases of pneumonia, chronic pain, fractures, stab wounds, gunshots, congestive heart failure. Equipment that was used while doing this procedures was Phillips digital x-ray room.
Dr Davel Diagnostic Radiology- Working as a Senior Radiographer in which my responsibilities include doing different types of patients X-ray with different pathologies which include Tuberculosis, pains in all different parts of the body, gun shots, Stab wounds, septic wounds and many other diseases. Equipment used was Siemens digital X-ray.
Computed Tomography scans is also part of my part of my duty which also included patients of all ages with many diseases such as fractures in different parts of the body, gun shots, stab wounds, strokes, confused patients and septic wounds. Examination that were performed were CT Cardiac Angiograms, CT colonoscopy, CT lower and upper limbs Angiogram, CT brain Angiogram, CT chest pre and post,CT abdomen and CT abdominal Angiograms were performed by me. Equipment used was Siemens CT machine.
MRI duties included- did various patients of all ages with different types of diseases.
Examinations performed in the MRI included magnetic Resonance cholangiopancreatography, Mri of the brain, mri of spine ranging from cervical to coccyx, Mri of the limbs, Mri of prostate, cervix, anal fistula. Equipment used for performing this exams was Siemens Mri 1.5 tesla.
Fluroscopy- patients of all ages were examined with various pathologies such as infertility, fistula in vagina, ureter, strictures in esophagus. Examinations that were performed were barium enema, barium swallow, hysterosalpingrophy, arthrogram of shoulder and hip joints.
Equipment used for this exams was Siemens flouroscopic unit.
