Undertake the administration and co-ordination of complaints/ compliments/suggestions that are directed at the office of the MEC and monitor performance on response times
Receive inbound calls from patients not happy with service delivery in our institutions (clinics&Hospitals)
Patients call the KZN DEPARTMENT HEALTH HEAD OFFICE, which is our office to lay their complaints.
Receive a bunch of queries and complaints through outlook (emails) and queries not related to our department, those individuals are directed to relevant personnel
After receiving the complaints, they are being escalated to the CEO’s or Operational Managers in charge in those facilities
We do follow ups on those complaints as the matter must be resolved within 25 working days
Once the complaints is resolved we request for a report that will also mention how the complaint was closed or resolved
Compile weekly and monthly reports
The reports then go to our supervisor and kept safe.
Ensuring complaints are solved in an efficient and speedily manner
Facilitate and coordinate matters arising from community outreach programmes led by the MEC
