  • After obtained my General Surgery Specialist, I continued with my passion in transplant surgery under the Gauteng Solid Organ Transplant Unit
  • I was involved in 63 Renal Transplant and performed over 80 cadaveric sold organ procurements
  • We are currently in a process of expanding our services to DCD organ procurement, Liver and Pancreatic Transplantation

  • During this time, I had extensive exposure to General Surgery, Trauma, Burns (including rotating through the burns unit and ICU), Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Paediatric Surgery
  • Practical experience gained in the areas of acute patient management and resuscitation, as well as emergency and elective surgical procedures was extensive and varied
