• As the IMEAT Operations Coordinator, I represented all manufacturing operations within the India, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey Leadership team. My responsibilities included coordinating people development, implementing standardized manufacturing practices, optimizing learning experiences, and driving corrective actions to enhance Environmental Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S), Quality, Productivity, Cost efficiency, and overall people performance.
• In my role as Prescribed Officer on the Dow Southern Africa Board of Directors, I oversaw corporate governance in accordance with King IV principles. I managed manufacturing, safety, and security aspects of Dow’s operations in Southern Africa.
• Assigned as Site Leader in Durban in July 2016, I addressed significant challenges in financial management, cost control, people leadership, product supply reliability, and EHS&S.

As Site Leader, I provided comprehensive Manufacturing and Engineering (M&E) guidance and support for the Canelands and Sasolburg operations. I served as the Manufacturing Representative on the Dow AgroSciences South Africa Regional Commercial Unit Business Team and within the broader Dow South Africa organization.

In this role, I led public affairs and managed relationships with the local community, authorities at both local and national levels, and various industrial and business associations. My leadership ensured that the South Africa Manufacturing Operations were effectively guided by a clear strategic direction, aligned with corporate, functional, site, and business objectives

As the South African Responsible Care Leader, I was responsible for creating and implementing Environmental Health Safety and Security (EHS&S) management systems to ensure that business objectives were achieved and the license to operate was maintained.

I coordinated and provided leadership for the implementation of all management systems. I was accountable for the execution of EHS&S processes, ensuring that both local business and corporate EHS&S and financial objectives were met at Dow AgroSciences sites in South Africa. Additionally, I oversaw Emergency Safety & Security at the Canelands site and served as the custodian for Process Safety across all Dow AgroSciences manufacturing sites in South Africa. I was also the second-in-command to the Site Leader for both Canelands and Sasolburg sites.

In my role as Senior Production Leader, I was accountable for the overall performance of the manufacturing facility. I established and achieved all production targets while ensuring the safe and cost-effective manufacture of high-quality products. My focus encompassed Environmental Health and Safety, People, Quality, and Reliability, which were crucial in maintaining an uninterrupted and safe production process.

I aligned plant operations with business strategies, delegated responsibilities to empowered teams, and provided administrative coaching to plant personnel.
