Mandela Day House Donation project.
Played a role as a Bricklayer student in the Mopani House Donation Project of building a 3 room bedroom house including study and bathroom.
Duties carried out:
- Setting out.
- Excavation - Trimming all sides of the trenches using hand tools
- Concrete Batching - Batch mixing for both concrete foundation and slab using 135L electric concrete mixer.
- Backfilling - Earth fill to side of trenches and compact
- Brickwork - Built Foundation wall, Built to height of wall plate and beam filling.
Result's: Project reached the height of wall plate within 3 weeks.
