Responsibilities and objectives:

•Designs binary control circuits for satisfying functional requirements.

• Defines, with support of the Control Engineer, the train schematic diagrams and cable loom design including HV, MV.

• LV and data network cabling.

• Defines the cabling space allocation with Train Design Engineer, and subsequent main geometrical harness characteristics and mechanical integration requirements.

• Drafts the equipment & electrical apparatus list.

• Is able to select appropriate basic electrical components (relays, connectors, switches, lights, fans, etc.) as well as write the electrical specifications of the components

• Drafts the key elements of the cabling verification plan, focusing on the main technical risks

• Deploys and applies the Electrical Standard Design Processes and tools (E3S and ELSA).

• Organizes Design / Verification reviews and provides the associated reports.

• Initiates action plans to solve issues

• Supports Manufacturing, Sourcing, Commissioning, Warranty and Maintenance Services on Electrical Engineering issues as required.

• Partaking in maintenance planning which includes the ensuring that the maintenance plans are updated and properly managed.
• Perform fault finding on unplanned locomotive failures.
• Responsible for modifications on the locomotives
• Conduct root course analysis on locomotive component failures.
• Maintenance audits to suppliers and service providers according to specifications
• Compile statement of work on incident repairs and monitor repair process.
• Compile weekly and monthly report on locomotive scheduling, unit cost and quality of work done
• Conduct and monitor testing and inspection of locomotive components and after locomotive repair have been completed.
• Coordinate and support on site audits conducted, evaluate audit findings
• Communicating with different stakeholders on projects related to my fleet.
• Contribute and assist in Projects that will improve the fleet reliability.
• Accountable for availability and reliability of 19E locomotive fleet.
