I am a highly experienced Power-Plant Engineering Analyst with a strong focus on optimizing the reliability, performance, and economic efficiency of power plant engineering products, including engines, APUs, and nacelles. My extensive engineering background is complemented by my asset management capabilities, and I have a proven track record in these areas. I possess in-depth knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering System Software, Engine and Module Performance Monitoring Programs, Engine Removal Forecasting, Engine Health Monitoring, and Reliability Analysis.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of engine families, including the CFM56 series (CFM56-5C4 & -C4/P), Rolls-Royce Trent series (Trent 500, Trent 700, and Trent 7000), and the International Aero Engines V2500 series (V2527-A5). My experience also extends to previous work with the CFM56-7B, Trent XWB, and other older engine families from CFMI, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce.
In my role, I manage all engineering and technology projects within the Power-Plant Engineering group, driving initiatives to enhance the function's effectiveness. I collaborate with other Engineering Services functions to ensure effective coordination of metrics, processes, and cross-functional initiatives. Additionally, I support Operations and other business units to ensure timely departures.
I served as Interim Power-Plant Engineering Manager from May 1, 2021, to November 31, 2021, and continue to act in this capacity as needed based on operational requirements.
Before joining SAAT, I worked with Uthingo (the Regional Field Service Centre for the National Lottery) and Macadams Manufacturing. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vaal University of Technology and have completed some coursework towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from UNISA (though this qualification is not yet complete).
With over 20 years of post-qualification experience in Power-Plant Engineering, I am confident that my expertise will contribute positively to the growth and success of your organization. The following sections, detailing the period, institution/organization, location, and positions held, will provide further testimony to my qualifications.
