Throughout my career, I have held various roles such as ESD Hub Manager and Deputy Hub Manager for the Anglo Zimele Programme, Business Advisor at SEDA, and Business Consultant at SBSA. I have a comprehensive background in finance, auditing, and management, as well as certification as a Principal Business Advisor by IBASA and memberships in SAIBA and COMENSA.
My experience spans multiple industries, including Mining, Construction / Property Development, Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Tourism, with a focus on sustainable development in mining communities. I have facilitated Hybrid ESD programs, impacting over 400 beneficiaries, driving revenue growth, market linkages, and job creation.
I am well-versed in governance frameworks like the MMFA, Municipal Systems Act, and Treasury Regulations, Mining Charger, BBBEE and have developed strong skills in strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. As a Board member, I have also contributed to enhancing governance and decision-making processes within the organization.
In terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), I have actively contributed to Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD), Socio-Economic Development (SED), and Livelihood programs, with a focus on improving community wellbeing, economic growth, and sustainability.

- Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD):
o Develop and implement ESD programs to support local small, medium, and micro-enterprises (SMMEs), ensuring they are empowered to become suppliers within the mining supply chain.
o Identify potential business partners and mentor local entrepreneurs to enhance their capacity, business skills, and access to markets.
o Drive compliance with mining charters and local procurement policies by ensuring a strong pipeline of capable suppliers.
o Monitor and evaluate the impact of ESD programs to ensure measurable outcomes in terms of job creation, enterprise growth, and community development.
- Livelihood Development:
o Initiate programs to improve the economic well-being of community members, focusing on skills development, education, and employment opportunities.
o Collaborate with local stakeholders to establish sustainable livelihood projects that promote agricultural development, artisanal businesses, and vocational training.
o Work with local authorities and NGOs to implement programs that reduce poverty and promote self-sufficiency.
o Ensure that livelihood development initiatives align with the social and environmental goals of the mining operations.
- Socio-Economic Development (SED):
o Design and execute SED projects that address the socio-economic needs of local communities, such as infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability.
o Lead stakeholder engagements to ensure the active participation of local communities, government entities, and other partners in SED projects.
o Manage budgets and resources allocated to SED initiatives, ensuring the effective use of funds for maximum impact.
o Track and report on the outcomes of SED initiatives in line with the company’s CSR reporting framework and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships:
o Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, NGOs, and other corporate partners, to support CSR initiatives.
o Represent the company in external forums and communicate the social and economic contributions of mining operations to various stakeholders.
o Ensure community concerns and needs are addressed through continuous dialogue and transparent reporting mechanisms.
- Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
o Ensure all programs comply with relevant legislation, such as the Mining Charter, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) regulations, and other sector-specific guidelines.
o Prepare detailed reports on the impact and outcomes of ESD, Livelihood, and SED initiatives for internal and external stakeholders, including compliance audits and public disclosures.
