Throughout my career, I have led and contributed to high-impact healthcare projects focused on improving quality standards, patient safety, and public health outcomes. Key initiatives include spearheading the Ideal Clinic – ‘Operation Phakisa’ project to address systemic deficiencies in primary healthcare clinics and prepare them for National Health Insurance accreditation; driving the National Core Standards Pilot to elevate facilities to Centre of Excellence status; and advancing the COHSASA accreditation process to ensure institutional compliance with international best practices. I have also coordinated the Annual Antenatal HIV Seroprevalence Survey to track HIV and syphilis trends, led the investigation and control of a meningococcal disease outbreak through targeted immunisation campaigns, and established the Epidemic Preparedness and Response Team in Limpopo to strengthen the province’s capacity to respond effectively to public health emergencies.
Oversaw quality assurance and governance across multiple health establishments, driving service excellence through monitoring, evaluation, and the implementation of Batho-Pele programmes and accountability measures.
Directed the development, coordination, and monitoring of quality improvement programmes, ensuring professionalism, policy compliance, and effective performance management.
Revitalised quality assurance systems, led hospital-wide improvement initiatives, and managed key projects, benchmarking, and compliance to elevate service delivery standards.
Delivered province-wide infection prevention and control training, coordinated surveillance programmes, and led outbreak response initiatives in collaboration with healthcare stakeholders.
Supervised labour ward operations, trained advanced midwifery students, assessed clinic readiness for safe deliveries, and managed staff and unit planning.
Provided clinical training to nursing students and supervised night operations across multiple wards, ensuring quality patient care and staff performance.
Oriented and trained new staff and students in ward procedures, equipment use, and patient care across male and female wards, the intensive care unit, occupational health and safety unit, infection control, and TB unit, while serving as overall night duty supervisor and managing performance evaluations.
