Employment Equity
- Responsible for the Coordination and Administration of employment equity submissions and verifications.
- Assist in Development, review, and update employment equity policies and procedures in accordance with legislative requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate employment practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Employment Equity Act, Human Rights Code, and other applicable regulations.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret workforce demographic data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in equity representation and diversity.
- Prepare and submit employment equity reports to regulatory bodies and senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for achieving equity goals.
- Assist in development and deliver training programs and workshops to raise awareness and foster understanding of employment equity principles among employees, managers, and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to develop inclusive recruitment and selection processes that attract and retain diverse talent while ensuring fairness and equity.
- Facilitate accommodations for employees from designated groups to ensure equal access to employment opportunities and career advancement.
- Provide guidance, support, and expert advice to management, employees, and external stakeholders on matters related to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies to promote employment equity initiatives and foster a diverse talent pipeline.
- Stay informed about changes legislation, and best practices in employment equity, diversity, and inclusion to recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills Development
- Liaising with the L&D team on the development plans for purposes of EE, BEE and development of the employees.
- Assist with the coordination of Training and Skills Development
- Assist with the submission of WSP and ATR and training implementation.
- Assist with the employees career planning, training needs and implementation.
- Tracking employee development for EE purposes and workplace profile statistics
- Manage SLA with the L&D team to receive corresponding development data input into EE & SD reports
- Training Operations and Partners and Payroll on EE data management practices including data analysis and collation for various reporting templates
- Custodianship of EE data in accordance with the EEA
- Capturing of EE stakeholder reports against internal targets and Generic and Mining Charter targets
- Tracking employee movements and workplace profile statistics
- Ensuring reconciliation of data with various systems for accuracy
- Ensure that Skills Development initiatives are aligned with B-BBEE Objectives.
- Assist with the implementation of Skills development initiatives.
Supplier and Enterprise Development
- Align ESD strategy to the Procurement strategy to enhance B-BBEE targets
- Increase preferential procurement in all categories and business levels
- New supplier due diligence
- Lead and conduct ESD beneficiary selection process
- Maintain a constant presence as first line support for ESD queries
- Bridge the relationship between Organization stakeholders, ESD SMEs and partner organization
- Work with business development service providers to support and develop local small businesses
- Identify opportunities for ESD vendors on site
- Ensure scopes of work are put together in a manner that supports finding ESD vendors
- Ensure site technical support is sufficient
- Streamline working with ESD companies
BBBEE Accountability
- Preparation and facilitation of the annual BBB-EE audit process
- Keeping abreast of BBBEE legislation and providing guidance, expertise and direction with alignment to the business strategy
- Lead initiatives aimed at maximizing the BBB-EE scorecard points, with particular focus on Procurement, Enterprise and Supplier Development and Skills Development
- Work closely with the Finance and Procurement teams in identifying improvement opportunities for the company's' preferential procurement policy.
- Work closely with HR in identifying improvement opportunities for the HR programs such as Recruitment, EE profile etc.
- Forecast, track and monitor the company's BBB-EE scorecard
- Compiling transformation progress reports
- Conducting awareness, education and sensitization sessions on BBB-EE initiatives
- Creating and maintaining a preferential procurement database for approved black owned suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Collecting and maintaining BBB-EE certificates of all suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Tracking Supplier Development commitments as part of tender agreements in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Submission of Transformation related documents as part of tender processes in conjunction with the Procurement department
- Identify transformation gaps and come up with the strategy and plans to close the gaps.
- Assist with the implementation of Enterprise and Supplier Development Initiatives
- Assist in the development and implementation of the ESD selection criteria.
- Ensure that all ESD Initiatives are aligned to the B-BBEE Objectives.
- Conduct internal B-BBEE verification.
CSI / SED
· Development of CSI and SED plan and strategy
· Develop selection criteria for CSI and SED Initiatives.
· Ensure that CSI and SED Initiatives are aligned with the business strategy
· Collect, analyze, and report key community and wider corporate responsibility measures.
· Develop, collect and report feedback on volunteering and other community program's.
· Improve our ability to measure the social value and business impact of community program's.
· Build CSI and SED file for B-BBEE and internal reporting.
· Ensure that CSI and SED initiatives are communicated.
Reporting and Advisory
· Assist with the Quarterly SEC Reporting
· Responsible for the compilation of Transformation report on quarterly basis.
· Provide advisory on B-BBEE and Transformation matters across the business.
· Identify and report on risky B-BBEE initiatives
· Assist with the compilation of Monthly Operation and Management Committee meeting Reports
· Advise business on new changes in the legislations.
