My career began as a sales assistant in the retail sector right after school. I progressed to the role of branch manager and eventually earned promotion to Regional Manager in Gauteng, where I successfully supervised 6 retail branches. Subsequently, I transitioned into wholesale sales, managing territories across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and North West provinces. I later advanced to the position of Business Development Manager, taking on responsibility for all online and marketing initiatives within the company.

In September 2016 I was selected to take part in an UK trip to visit retailers throughout England with the intend to purchase Lighting and Electrical stores in England.
In October 2019 I was selected to go and work at the annual Canton Fair in Guangzhou China where I met with international buyers.
My duties as Branch Manager was as follows:
· Assisting customers and responding to customer complaints, requests, queries, and comments.
· Finding new ways to improve sales, meet sales targets, analyze figures, forecast volumes, and strategize.
· Recruiting, training, supervising, motivating, and reviewing staff, as well as resolving health, safety, and legal issues for the store.
· Maintaining stock levels, ensuring the quality of supplies, and supervising the quantity, type, and scheduling of orders.
· Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policies and procedures.
· Ensure customer service is being maintained throughout the business day.
· Planning the layout and design of displays.
· Involved directly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.

I was responsible for the building and operating of the Decorex and Grand Design shows in 2013 and 2014. Zebbies also gave me the task of handling labour related issues in Gauteng. I was also given the task to employ all new employees in Gauteng.

I commenced service with Adidas in April 2004 where I was responsible for the opening of the first Adidas Concept Store in Gauteng. I managed this store for 9 months, and then transferred to a new Adidas Factory Outlet Store in East Rand Value Mall. I was also responsible for the opening of this new store.
My duties, at this store (as well as in Centurion) are as follows:
· Recommend and participate in all decisions that may impact hiring, discipline, and termination of employees all while following Company guidelines.
· Supervise all in-store operations to achieve sales, service, and profitability objectives.
· Coordinate all training to staff to ensure all employees are trained in procedures such as opening and closing, cashiering, returns and all other functions related to the operation of the store.
· Perform timely completion of all recordkeeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance appraisals, salary reviews, counseling, disciplinary actions and terminations.
· Develop action plans to address any issues relating to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
· Ensure the fiscal integrity of the store by implementing monthly and half yearly inventory audits to be performed in compliance with corporate policy.
· Develop and ensure regular security controls are in place. Conduct training on safety and security for all employees.
· Communicate all required reporting of financial results to Area Manager/Head Office.
· Develop sales contests to create positive morale and to motivate staff.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.

I managed the opening of the new Adidas Concept store in Centurion as well as the new Factory Outlet store in East Rand Value Mall. I have also been tasked with overall responsibility for all HR, Admin and IT related issues in Gauteng.

I manage a luggage and leather store at Johannesburg International airport where I am responsible for the effective operations of the store. I am also responsible for the achievement of monthly sales targets.
I also performed the following duties:
· Ensured that daily and monthly sales targets are met with the use of the On-Track retail software POS program.
· Management of daily stock flow checks to ensure adequate stock levels to meet consumer demand, and the replenishment of stock when necessary
· Management of receiving, checking and recording of new stock (local and in-bond), and the administration thereof.
· Management of periodic stock counts, and reconciliation with sales reports.
· Ensuring that all the departments are performing to standard
· Responsible for daily banking
· Ongoing staff training on products, and selling techniques
· Liaison with existing and new suppliers in the ordering of new stock
· Compiling of monthly reports
· Using the Labour Relations Act (LRA) in daily operations of store management.
· Compilation of shift rosters, using transaction frequency reports extracted from the On-Track POS system. This is done for both stores and the warehouse staff.
Major Achievements:
During September and October 2002 I was sent to Cape Town. During this period I managed the opening of the store new store in the Duty Free lounge in Cape Town International Airport. I trained all the new staff, implementation of policies and procedures related to effective store operations, and then handed over of all the operations to the newly appointed store manager
During January 2003 I was responsible for the opening of a new store in the new Domestic Terminal at Johannesburg International airport.

I was appointed to commence work in the new Cape Union Mart store at the International Departures section at Johannesburg International airport where. I assisted overseas travelers with the selection and purchasing of goods.
I gained experience in dealing with clients from foreign countries, including travelers who could not speak English. I was responsible for processing purchases that were paid for in foreign currencies such as US$, EURO and Sterling, with change paid in ZAR. Spot currency conversions to ZAR therefore needed to be made based on daily exchange rates.
I also performed the following duties:
