Projects and Professional Experiences

During my time at Maraisfoods, I was involved with or on behalf of the owner in various other projects as Maraisfoods grew beyond Nando's. This included the creation of new businesses, 3 of which stand out for me personally: Skedadel, a B2B delivery partner that delivers last mile across the country, Zuppit, a fresh fruit and vegetable delivery company that delivers daily to leading food brands and the development of Dias Tavern in Cape Town from a single owned restaurant into a franchise. I also started my own small clothing business designing, manufacturing, and selling clothing with a small team through various channels such as our own online store, product launch parties, pop-up stores, community events, school events and Facebook. During this time I learned and upskilled a whole range of skills: budgeting and forecasting, organization and structure, marketing, web design, clothing design, screen printing, branding, customer service and retention, cold calling, negotiation, project management and much more. My ability to learn, absorb information and develop new skills in a short period of time has earned me the respect of my peers and coworkers.
