This role is in the petrochemical industry. I will be leveraging my skills and knowledge to solve a range of process engineering challenges in the oil and gas industry. A breakdown of my responsibilities is shown below:

• Support internal and external customers through the execution of improvement projects, troubleshooting and general technical support.
• Provide Engineering and Technical Services according to the SLA's that meet or exceed the expectations of the customer and EBES Leadership.
• Support, maintain or create new customer relationships for EBES to ensure sustainability of the business.
• Provide process engineering support for design, operations, commissioning and decommissioning support.
• Develop test run procedures, collect data and analyze trends.
• -Write good quality reports and develop technical presentations.
• Support HAZOPS, Root Cause Investigations, Fire & Gas Mapping, Risk Assessments and MOC’s.
• Work with the EBES team to foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.

I worked on various process plant design projects in designated studies, projects and consulting services. Summary of my primary responsibilities are listed below:

• Development of design systems to ensure seamless integration with other departments
• Preparation of PFDs, process functional descriptions, control philosophies and business cases for process improvement projects.
• Development of PIDs according to company’s standards and quality (line sizing, valve selections etc).
• Material and energy balance simulation using Syscad Simulation Package.
• Development of line lists, Mechanical equipment lists and other process related lists.
• Equipment sizing and selection.
• Integration of mass balance outputs with other process related documents i.e Line lists, sizing schedules etc.
• Critically evaluate the process design criteria to ensure quality designs.
• Assisting graduate process engineers.
• Development of operating procedures

This role encompassed various aspects of process engineering such as performing metallurgical testwork and exposure to process plant design. A summary of my responsibilities is listed below:

Process Design Responsibilities

Assist senior process engineers with process design deliverables such as:

• PFDs, P&IDs,

• Mass a and exposure to process plant design.

Testwork

• Optimize commercial units for FLS clients.

• Perform pilot scale gravity separation testwork using the Reflux Classifier (RC) technology.

• Provide technical reports on test work performed.

• Perform metallurgical bench scale testwork including thickening, pressure filtration andpneumapress.

• Develop standardized operating procedures for different testwork technologies.

• Develop standardized maintenance procedures for different testwork.

Equipment Assembly

• Supervise assembly of pilot plant equipment and ensure that they are built according to the mechanical drawings.
