Gardening, collecting vintage vinyl, selling rare books

Concerning books it all started back in 2010 in a town called Alice. My dad a history lecturer at the time started buying books from charity shops. Together we sold books at flea markets in East London,  at the Bathurst Book Fair and recently here in Port Elizabeth. Over the years I learned which books were valuable and important. I started collecting of course and reading, eager to continuously learn.   As for collecting vintage vinyl that started in 2020. I had completed my studies at Rhodes University, unfortunately no graduation ceremony due to Covid 19  restrictions. Well my dad gifted me with a vintage Rega Planar 2 turntable, amp and speakers. My dad was in the business of buying and selling vinyl as a hobby. I took over from him and I still continue to buy and sell.  I mostly look for albums that the Rolling Stone Magazine Guide rates indispensable albums (the 500 best of all time).  It is a joy. However, my truest love is gardening. Shortly after my son was born I started buying plants in 2012. I already had the books to guide me and I do it because I believe you reap what you sow. The rewards of eating a vegetable or herb you have nurtured is amazing to me.  I feel at ease in the garden. I play classical music like Mozart sometimes as   care for the plants. My children spend time with our dogs and are surrounded by nature and that's the big bonus.
