As a seasoned General Forester, self-employed, I've mastered steep terrain forestry operations and transformed logs into structural lumber. My project management acumen and exceptional communication skills have driven success and innovation. Demonstrating dependability and problem-solving, I excel in environments requiring adaptability and precise decision-making.
At the beginning of my career in Forestry from 2006, I started exporting predominantly E. Camaldulensis found in difficult wetland riverine areas. I secured woodlots and compartments in private plantations, mainly Eucalyptus species which was sought after for the export market. As I grew my business, in 2007, I started securing Pine for the local sawmill market in the Western Cape - this was marketed by a Company called Ruby Red.
For the Export Market, I supplied Rainbow Horizon with E. Cladocalyx and E. Diverticulosis (Reference Letter attached).
I was approached by a Company called Kuehne Nagel in 2014/2015, to handle all the MTO burnt round log timber. This project was for an International Corporate Company, IFP. My role was to open a depot, supply the equipment to containerize all round log timber. This was initially based in the Western Cape and then expanded to Port Elizabeth in the Easter Cape, and finally, Cato Ridge in KZN. This operation ended 11 April 2022 after massive floods in KZN and the collapse of the Transnet Railway Lines.
From 2014 - 2020, I harvested steep terrain for Rainbow Horizon and Luapula Sawmills in KZN.
In 2021 I procured timber from Molozi Trust in Limpopo Province - stump to mill solution (Reference letter attached).
September 2024: began procuring timber from Safcol - steep slope/difficult terrain, until current.
