Responsibilities.

• Carrying out the inspection of all the tools in our stores,
• ensuring that all equipment is calibrated, and that the calibration certificates are loaded on the tracking system.
• When the technician goes on a job, they scan out the equipment to ensure traceability of who used the machine last and whether it is not faulty.
• Ensuring that our stores follow the 5S system, where everything is where it is supposed to be, and is standardised.
• Use the Acumatica system for issuing out the stock against projects.
• Incoming Goods inspection & verification against the certificates & MSDS.
• Request quotation from suppliers and raise Purchase orders (PO) and Goods receiving vouchers (GRV) on Acumatica.
• After delivery from supplier confirm quantities received against PO/TAX invoice.
• Inform Suppliers if there is any errors on the goods we have received.

Responsibilities.

• Five-minute meeting with the autonomous team daily.

• Verify the torque at 80% after production has done its 100% torque tightening.

• Performing visual inspection inside the economiser, both inlet and outlet, primary and secondary superheater, and dead space of the whole boiler. Checking for erosion, mechanical damage, fretting of the tube, and misalignment between the elements.

• Doing heat transfer with the 3rd party AIA, Data capturing using excel and making up data packs, Doing fit-up inspection before welding, doing visual inspection after welding, Doing inspection before PWHT (Stress releases), Performing NDE Inspection after PWHT (MPI and PT), doing NDE clearance with the 3rd party AIA, witnessing pressure test with the 3rd party AIA, releasing lines to site, punching the line with the client.

• Conducting heat transfer with the third-party AIA, capturing data and preparing field packs and shop documentation, punching and clearing lines for release to the client, assisting construction to meet the scope of work, performing NDE, witnessing pressure tests, and ensuring the third-party AIA is also part of the tests along with the client.

Accomplishments.

• I completed all the required tasks and the scope of work, excelled under immense pressure during punching and clearing lines for release to the client, worked overtime to witness pressure tests, and got the test packs signed and cleared by AIA and the client. Making sure that the welding is of sound quality. Providing assurance and approving construction work.
• Managed to obtain my Level 2 MPT/PT and Level QC.
