• Interpret MPS requirements and translate it into scheduled targets (monthly, weekly, daily) for each production/assembly area
• Monitor SAP planned orders, Kanban triggers, production buffers, material and capacity availability and plan the release of work orders
• Draw up monthly, weekly and daily targets for each production/assembly area, monitor progress, adjust targets and expedite critical activities to ensure MPS achievement; Create work orders as schedules in SAP, compile, build history files, track progress and booking of hours, minimize material variances and complete and close work orders; Responsible for control and administration of quarantine store
• Also responsible to create rework orders as required and to expedite the replacement on non-conforming material from stores; Reporting on production targets to achieve the MPS, the status of target achievement, material shortages, labour and material variances and production order status and progress
• Liaises primarily with production foremen, project managers, material planners and QA/QC personnel.

• Organizing, planning, commissioning and maintaining production line; Monitoring current part inventory, update production board daily; Planning and preparing production schedules after reviewing sales forecasts and inventory position; Planning the use of resources and scheduling activities in order to meet departmental objectives; Maintain 100% on time delivery; Generation of monthly master production schedules; Work order creation and job closure; BOM Maintenance; Ensure timely placement and delivery of components in production lines; Communicates material requirements to buyers to expedite; Communicates the rescheduling of open purchase orders to suit production; Planning requirements.

Plan CFI items on sub-contracting orders
Co-ordinate the identification of long lead items
Facilitate creation, and maintain detailed production schedule
Help optimise available capacity on production line
Co-ordinate the identification for scrap provision / yield on production floor items

Production Control
Provide regular, pro-active visibility on future material shortages
Regular visibility on shortages on production floor
Timely visibility on kit availability status
Complete / Partial kit release against schedule
Expediting/de-expediting of kits
Failure reporting and corrective action
Procurement support
Prepare procurement data packs (incl. drawings and PPS’s) in accordance with the approved PDI
Co-ordinate the rework / modification of externally procured items
Co-ordinate the implementation of ECP’s in the External Manufacturing environment
Co-ordinate the resolution of problems experienced in the procurement process (identify, communicate and
monitor)
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
Provide progress reporting on procurement activities
Identify and expedite schedule critical items through the supply chain
Identify, ensure visibility and support in managing risk items through the supply chain process
Create visibility on critical material availability problems against MPS
Monitor “cancel process” and “excess” exceptions on allocated materials
Stock control
Do transfers to match available stock with project specific requirements
Identify and cancel invalid supply actions
Control excess stock and MOQ’s on allocated materials
Scrap externally procured items as requested via formal process
Clean WBSE stock after completion of project
Product costing and finance
Co-ordinate the update of material master price information
Ensure accurate cost roll-ups for Sub-contracting (F30) items
Report on large price deviations / variances on externally procured items
Initiate actions that leads to improvement in financial results of production project
