  • Conduct job observations and peer checks according to procedures, and confidence and ability to intervene in any practices deemed to be unsafe and to promote a zero-harm environment.
  • Record full details, technical related history of work carried out on notifications / defects and scheduled work with special reference to material used, repairs carried out and equipment used.
  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance as per instructions, safety regulations and approved maintenance procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain Pumps (Potable water pumps, Demin water pumps, cation/anion supply pumps, chlorinator pumps, auxiliary cooling, booster pumps, Submersible pumps) to move different medium (water, acid, effluent, waste, or sludge from one point to another.
  • Remove damaged pumps and motors for workshop repairs, install new or refurbished pumps, couple and align to motors and commissioning of plant.
  • Inspect and maintain Pipping and Fittings, clean Strainers/screens/filters. Replace when corroded, worn.
  • Inspect and assist authorized body to pressure test Vessels/ storage tanks/ receivers and sign off statutory PMs.
  • Perform weekly inspection on compressors and record running hours
  • Check daily the running Temperatures, Pressure and Flow rate regeneration.
  • Inspect and maintain Conveyor systems
  • Ensure routine cleaning is done effectively by the cleaning team to reduce or eliminate material build-up.
  • Check the conveyor belt surface for wear, cracks, or damages and look out for any structural damages.
  • Check conveyor belt for misalignment and rectify
  • Check for safety guards in place and secured for rotating machinery
  • Check rollers for any structural damages (idlers and pulleys, check lagging on pulleys)
  • Check emergency stops to ensure that they are functioning properly and check the belt alignment sensors in good working condition.
  • Check the belt scrapers in place and effective, adjust or replace if necessary.
  • Listen for any unusual noise during normal conveyor operation and report any deviations.
  • Check and feel the gearbox and motors for excessive noise, heat, and vibration.
  • Lubricate gearbox and motor bearings as per work order instructions and procedures.
  • Replace worn out conveyors, pull in new belt and allow splicing team to splice, allow cooling if endorsed by the splicers and tension the belt and commission.
