Mentoring and Tutoring
I am deeply committed to the transformative power of education, particularly in inspiring and equipping girls to excel in Mathematics and Science. My journey began in 2015 when I joined the UCT TeachOut society, dedicating four years to mentoring students from grades 10 to 12 in Langa and Phillipi. Every Saturday, I facilitated lesson plans and provided tutoring in Mathematics and English, fostering academic growth and confidence among learners.
Entrepreneurship
My entrepreneurial spirit took flight in 2024 when I co-founded Ulwazi, a tutoring enterprise. Our mission is to nurture academic excellence among grade 9-12 students across Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Mafikeng, with the invaluable support of local schools. Ulwazi is more than a tutoring service; it's a platform that offers matriculants pursuing teaching degrees invaluable hands-on experience in Mathematics, English, and Science instruction, while also providing them with a meaningful source of income as they advance in their educational careers.
