
I am a compassionate and patient-centered Medical Doctor with years of experience in primary health and emergency care. A dedicated advocate for patients and committed to delivering quality health care yet in a system with many challenges. I have taken both a mentorship and leadership role in supporting the nursing staff particularly in HIV management and paediatric health care services.
I am currently based at Nomzamo community Day Centre.
I oversee the paediatric and maternity clinics where complicated cases are discussed directly with me.
I have worked as a NIMART mentor where I trained the Nurses in HIV management.
I am trained in ADHD management and work in collaboration with school health. I have diagnosed and follow up children who are diagnosed with ADHD.
I do my commuted overtime in Eerste river Hospital Emergency Department where I manage and treat acutely Ill patients, with particular interest in paediatric cases.
I worked in the Emergency department where I used to traige and assist community service doctors as well as manage emergencies. I ran a medical ward where I mentored interns and provided medical care to inpatients and provided continuity of care.
I worked as a medical officer covering the emergency unit at Netcare. My role included providing emergency care to acutely ill patients,treating them and assisting with admissions with for the relevant specialities.
I did 6 months of Paediatrics in a district hospital under supervision,where I worked in a Paediatric ward and emergency unit, as well as running a Paediatric clinic including a Paediatric HIV clinic.
My role included consulting, stabilising, treating,as well as referring sick children to our tertiary hospital.
