Assistant Director: ICT WAN Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Plan and design provincial network infrastructure in line with the provincial needs guided by the PGDP.

Plan, design, and support ICT Infrastructure Architecture for the OTP and provincial departments

Regularly project manages the deployment of ICT connectivity to provincial sites.

Conduct research and assessment on connectivity needs of provincial sites to ensure appropriate deployment of correct

equipment

Assist in co-ordination of provincial connectivity committee meetings with provincial departments that engages on the provincial network architecture, cabling standards, and procedures.

Provide technical support to the department in terms of security stack

deployments.

Provide inputs in the Development provincial network standards and procedures.

Recommend ICT Connectivity changes to departments as part of improving the provision of ICT services.

Liaise with the relevant external service providers and provincial departments on issues relating to provincial network.
