- Responsible for leading the company in terms of Economic Development across EDFR’s portfolio (1 594,3 MW), focused principally on 10 projects across Financial Close, Construction and Operations
- Management of Community Development Programmes, including Socio-Economic Development (SED)/ Enterprise Development (ED) Implementation.
Management of Community Investment Programmes, including Socio-Economic Development (SED)/ Enterprise Development (ED) Implementation:
- ·Design and implement long-term community development strategy that effectively addresses community needs.
- Identify and maintain stakeholders necessary in implementing successful initiatives
- Identify, design, manage and oversees the implementation of sustainable SED and EnD Programmes that support the long-term SED & EnD strategy.
- Develop and maintain accurate record of information (baseline assessments, community needs assessments, contracts, payments etc.) of all initiatives and ensuring that records have been collated and saved on company’s online systems.
- Prepare yearly ED plans that describe programmes to be undertaken, activities and budget required for next Contract Year.
- Forecasts, budgets and tracks Economic Development Contributions and spend on Quarterly basis.
- Calculate and projects termination points and penalties across all operational wind farms.
- Define outcomes of programmes, manages and oversees the collection of baseline data and monitors & evaluates the outcomes against the baseline data.
- Contract Manages and oversees preparation of contracts entered into with service providers and /or beneficiaries.
- Manages and oversees finance related processes required to ensure Economic Development Obligations are met, this includes any payments to service providers and/ or beneficiaries.
Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) Economic Development (ED) Reporting:
- Manange interface between Independent Power Producer Office (IPPO) and each Project Company with any information and data gathering for REIPPPP ED reporting as required.
- Responds to any ED reporting related queries raised by various stakeholders, as and when required.
- Manages and coordinates thannual ED Audits
- Responsible for REIPPPP Implementation Agreement (Schedule 2) reporting on relevant projects.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develops, updates and oversees implementation of company’s Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan, including corporate grievance mechanism for project application.
- Manages Implementing Management Agent in developing , updating and implementing project specific stakeholder engagement plans (“SEP”) that align to Company’s Corporate Stakeholder Engagement Planning Process, including design, implementation and management of grievance mechanism.
- Manages process of mapping of stakeholders and execution of stakeholder engagements.
- Assists with improving and updating Company Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan, and ensuring project SEP is in line with this.
Managing Implementation Management Agent (IMA):
- Manages IMA, ensuring that there are systems and structures in place for sound Economic Development across organisation.
- Ensures integration of Economic Development and IMA functions into organisation as whole to ensure that company’s Economic Development strategy is integrated and managed is effectively.
Communication
- Creates content for communications, media and other social platforms regarding SED & EnD initiatives undertaken.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly & annual reports & forecasts to be communicated to board members, shareholders, financers and any other relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare all EnD and SED related presentations and information for internal and external purposes (e.g. EDF Board Meetings, Information Documents).
