  • Land Reform and Land Restitution Technical Support, This involves all stages of GIS technical support, from field work (collection, processing and cataloguing GPS data and photography); to desktop processing (manipulation, data quality control and geo-database formulation) and documenting (production of technical results in report format). Furthermore, different support that involves encrypting coordinates to enable projects location (CPAs, and all sorts of land claims). In particular, once data has been extracted from Landbase, I am able to perform different GIS manipulation process to enable visualization of all claim status-quo. This involves decoding the corresponding Alpha-Numeric codes (SG-Codes) of all the provided data; linking and joining the provided information to cadastre to give the required graphic or tabulated display, for example Rejected Claims in a particular municipality. This is done in SQL environment using the ArcSDE platform.
  • GIS Data Management, This involves sourcing the geo-spatial data from different organisations; routine data manipulation to enable the generation of decision making aids like maps and analytical information to meet different departmental functions/mandate. Working on the management (versioning) of all spatial data on the ArcSDE server for the Chief Directorate.
