Luka Koumantarakis

Recent graduate with exposure across warehouse operations, clearing and forwarding, transport management and project management. I have also recently completed a B-vlos RPC license. I am interested in learning more about the drone industry especially in sectors such as conservation, anti-poaching and surveying. This reflects my love for the outdoors.

• During my studies, I served as Vice Chairperson of the University Canoeing Club for three years, working with a committee of five to manage operations, plan budgets, and drive sustainable growth. Through effective teamwork and strategic initiatives, we turned the club from financial difficulty into a thriving organisation, growing membership by 30% and improving facilities. This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and organisational skills. As a committed student athlete, I competed in major river marathons including the Dusi, Fish, Berg, Drak, and Orange River Marathons, as well as ocean races such as the Freedom Paddle and Pete Marlin. Balancing academics with training taught me valuable time management and discipline. Highlights of my sporting career include winning the South African U23 River Marathon Championship (2024) and the South African U23 Doubles Ocean Racing Championship (2025), reflecting my drive, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
