I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and results-driven finance professional with over three years of auditing experience and a strong academic foundation in corporate finance. My career began at SNG Grant Thornton, where I progressed to the role of Senior Audit Trainee, managing audits for a diverse portfolio of JSE-listed and privately held clients across sectors such as Telecommunications, Media, and Real Estate. My responsibilities included client engagement, audit planning and execution, risk assessment, and financial reporting, equipping me with a deep understanding of complex financial environments. Currently, I serve as a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting Science at Walter Sisulu University, specializing in Corporate Finance. I integrate practical industry experience with academic instruction, contributing to curriculum development and tutor coordination. My skill set spans financial reporting and analysis, audit execution, risk management, IFRS and ISA compliance, corporate finance, and client relationship management. I am proficient in tools such as CaseWare and Microsoft Excel. Passionate about strategic financial management, I am committed to continuous learning and making meaningful contributions in both professional and academic spheres.
