I am a passionate Bachelor of Education student with several years of tutoring experience, working with both young and adult learners. I've been tutoring high school learners since 2019, and in 2020, I transitioned to online English tutoring during the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, I tutor a Grade 9 learner who has shown significant improvement in his studies under my guidance.
As a student teacher, I take pride in applying the knowledge and skills I am acquiring at university in practical teaching contexts. I strive for excellence in all aspects of my work and am committed to fostering meaningful learning experiences.
In addition to my studies, I have attended two international conferences that broadened my perspective on teaching and enriched my classroom practice. These include the 2024 International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Conference (Boardwalk Hotel, 3 days) and the CERMESA Workshop (hosted by Nelson Mandela University and Oldenburg University, Germany), which focused on translating policy into teaching practice, with themes such as climate change and gender issues in secondary school teaching. Attendance certificates are attached.
I have one student (who's doing Grade 9) I've had since last year that I tutor Mathematics and Afrikaans FAL. My role includes:
