Provide expect advise on Imports and Exports of regulated agricultural goods at the border, as a means of reinforcing fair trade that is aligned with biosafety and biosecurity of the Republic of South Africa.

Conduct inspections, sampling and detecting pests as punitive measures and administration to exercise import and export of Agricultural products regulated under related legislations adopted in 1993 under the World Trade Organization- Sanitary and Phytosanitary Agreement.

Reinforce laws of the Republic of South Africa to ensure effective and efficient functions such as that of access control of travellers under the Border Management Authority Act 2 of 2020.

Apply management and administrative skills that strengthen the organizational structure function such as data capturing and filing of information, and likewise participate in decision-making processes that serve in maintaining operational stability.
