Lindokuhle Mdlozini, originally from Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal, is a poet, novelist, short story writer, biographer, playwright, film scriptwriter, and radio scriptwriter. He holds a Honours degree in Performing Arts with a specialisation in Scriptwriting from the Tshwane University of Technology. Additionally, he completed an online course in Television scriptwriting at UKZN under the DIFF programme. Starting with poems and short stories, he transitioned into a professional writing career encompassing various forms of writing. Nominated for the TX Theatre Awards for his play "The Newspaper" and for "Imxinwa," Lindokuhle also received a nomination at the Naledi Awards for the latter, with Zaza winning the best supporting actress award. His poem "We Die Young" secured the first position in the Poetry Has A Voice competition that he wrote with his friends, Solomon Nkuna and Londiwe Mzobe, while his short story "In Her Darkness" also clinched the top spot in the Writers Lab competition. In 2022, Lindokuhle was tasked with writing a radio drama script for Radio Pulpit, and one of his radio dramas was subsequently selected for recording at Tshwane FM. On May 9, 2024, he conducted a workshop named "Igniting The Flame For Reading (Writeathon)" at Tshwane University of Technology for aspiring writers. Establishing the Open Stage platform at Tshwane University of Technology Art Campus, Lindokuhle created a space for performers, which remains active to this day. Currently based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, he continues to share his poems on his Instagram page (lindokuhle lindor hadebe) and is on the verge of completing his novel titled "The Man In The Mirror." additionally, the play he wrote play "Imxinwa" is set to be staged at The South African State Theatre once again.
My other interests, which extend beyond the world of writing and the project management of different projects, include engaging in the sport of soccer, embarking on adventurous travels to explore new cultures and landscapes, actively participating in community involvement initiatives that aim to make a positive impact, dedicating time to the fascinating process of learning multiple languages, as well as immersing myself in the captivating world of literature through extensive reading
