My career goal is to develop my abilities to practice within the context of social work profession by relating the values of the profession; knowledge and skills gained throughout my career journey and apply it within the systems of all ages and ethnic groups. Use realistic supported theoretical framework in understanding the dynamics amongst the individuals and social systems that are influencing their behaviour and their psychosocial wellbeing.
Currently I am practicing as an independent Social Worker providing counselling services in the following areas: Life adjustment issues (Chronic medical conditions such as HIV, Cancer, and Diabetes etc), Trauma defusing and debriefing, stress related, loss and grief, Family therapy, (Gender based violence), Substance abuse, Gambling addiction, Relationship and marital counselling, Survivors of Sexual Abuse, scholastic referral, Employee wellness program, Training and development, work readiness for newly graduated Social Workers, Youth behaviour management and self-development
Also, I am contracted by NMU to supervisor fourth-year social work students on campus on Advanced Social Work Practice (SOWP400) module. I supervise and guide them on their practicum while also providing care and support to ensure their well-being as needed by an individual or group.
