Work History
PCB Designer
University of Cape Town – EEE3088F Course Project
02.2024 - 05.2024
As part of our first design course, we worked in pairs to develop a MicroMouse robot capable of autonomously solving a maze. In the first semester, we focused on designing the power and sensor subsystems, including PCB development and hardware integration. In the second semester, we implemented the maze-solving algorithm, incorporating wall detection and path-planning logic to achieve full autonomous navigation.
Designed and implemented the power subsystem for an autonomous MicroMouse robot using Altium Designer.
Integrated USB-C charging, battery management, and voltage regulation circuits on a compact custom PCB (82 x 60 mm).
Ensured safe operation by designing current-limiting, protection, and external load switching circuits.
Intern
Mulilo Energy
12.2023 - 01.2024
Supported staff members in their daily tasks, reducing workload burden and allowing for increased focus on higher-priority assignments.
Gained valuable experience working within a specific industry, applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.
Analyzed problems and worked with teams to develop solutions.
Contributed to a positive team environment by collaborating with fellow interns on group projects and presentations.
