I am a dynamic and driven Civil Engineering graduate, registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer, with a solid academic foundation from the University of Pretoria and a full year of hands-on construction experience. Over the past year, I have worked as a Quality Control Officer on a large-scale wind farm project, where I developed a sharp eye for detail, strong site coordination abilities, and a deep understanding of compliance — all essential for successful project execution.
My experience has strengthened my interest in design, feasibility assessments, and project management, where I can combine analytical problem-solving with practical site exposure to deliver efficient and well-considered engineering solutions. I am now eager to join a dynamic engineering firm where I can contribute meaningfully to infrastructure development, broaden my technical capabilities, and continue progressing toward my Pr.Eng registration.
I am ready to take on new challenges, add value from day one, and grow into a well-rounded engineering professional.
•Conducted inspections and compliance verification for gravel access roads and platforms earthworks.
•Reviewed and logged laboratory test results including compaction tests, CBR values and concrete cube strength results.
•Ensured compliance with project specifications, quality plans and applicable standards.
•Coordinated with supervisors, laboratory personnel and subcontractors to resolve non-conformance’s.
•Assisted in interpreting issued drawings and verifying constructed levels against design.
•Maintained quality documentation including ITPs, test registers and inspection records.
•Contributed to material approval processes and method statement reviews.
•Assisted site engineers with setting out, measurements and quantity verification.
• Observed pavement layer construction and concrete works.
•Gained exposure to project sequencing and construction methodology.
