- Teaching English as a Home Language and second language, drafted and set up assessment papers, I have also moderated and verified assessment papers, grading of papers, tuition from Grade 8 up to Grade 12 level
- My above experience enables me to teach KS3-5 including IB and A Level.
- This includes all three spheres of English and covers all genres: Language, Literature and Creative Writing
- Since 2021, I am also a national marker for English Language and Creative Writing
- During this marking/ grading process we assess the assessments of all learners nationally
- Served the school as a Grade Leader in 2020, serving on School Governance Body from 2018-2022 for taking on the role of secretary/administrator this duty included being part of the recruitment team of the school, active disciplinary committee member
- I was the head of school infrastructure and maintenance from 2018-2022 working alongside the general foreman, the school main security liaison officer in 2020-2021
- During my tenure on school governance I completed the annual academic performance reports of the whole school that gets sent to the Department of Basic Education in South Africa every year
- I completed those reports in 2018, 2019 and 2020
- In 2021 I was also responsible for developing the annual school improvement plan and the school building blocks for effective school management
- My governance duties included:
- Building relationships between the school and its stakeholders (including the community and suppliers)
- Handing conflict and public relations situations (internally and externally)
- Setting the right example to other staff members and assisting in the development of more school leaders
