Summary

As an ocean enthusiast I did my first open water dive at the age of 11 and received my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving License. I fell even more in love with marine life and have enjoyed ocean endeavors such as snorkeling, paddle boarding, canoeing, white water rafting, and jet-skiing ever since. I took a culinary class for 2 years and have worked in the restaurant industry for over 3 years. This has taught me exceptional customer service, communication skills, teamwork, and multitasking while being in a high- pressure and fast-pace working environment. During my time at the University of Cincinnati I studied Architecture where I gained an appreciation for sustainable practices. In my classes I learned many technical skills including Auto-CAD, Adobe-Photoshop, Microsoft Excell and other skills such as drafting and drawing. This has allowed me to develop an eye for detail and precision and has forced me to think out of the box to find solutions to problems. On the weekends, after a full week of classes, I worked part-time at a wedding event center as a banquet server. I enjoyed my time serving high quality food and beverages to affluent wedding guests. This taught me how to plan ahead and manage my time efficiently.

I believe that these skills will help me become an experienced deckhand because I am calm under pressure, a fast learner and a team player who isn't afraid to make important decisions when it comes to safety protocols and emergencies. My passion for the ocean and the environment is what drives me to make sustainable decisions which I will happily pass on to other crew members. I am a social butterfly and a people person who easily gets along with others due to living in boarding school since the age of 14.


I hope to pass on my knowledge and learn from others in the yachting industry. I am excited to start this journey of my life where I get to see the world while making connections and meeting new people along the way.
