• Completed a digesbility trial between the Dohne Merino- and the SA Meatmaster sheep breeds. The trial consisted of 60 animals and lasted 6 weeks. Analyzed all the data with R-status and XLstat. Compiled reports.
• Completed a growth performance trial (ADG, FCR and FI) between the Dohne Merino- and Dorper sheep breeds. The trial consisted of 70 animals and lasted 6 weeks. Analyzed the data with XLstat and R-status. Compiled reports.
• Worked on extensive grazing system farm in the North West province, Kagisomo Molopo district. The farm have beef cattle, Boer goats and game species. Duties on the farm included vaccinations, dipping, dosing, birthing assistance and general animal husbandry chores.
• Worked on feed and livestock farm in the Eastern Cape, in the Kommadagga district. The farm have lucerne and maize pivot points, beef cattle, sheep (Dohne Merino and Dormer), Angora goats and game species. Duties on the farm included vaccinations, dosing, dipping, management of irrigation schedules. and general animal husbandry chores.
• Assisted with data gathering at Chalala piggery in Malmesbury, Western Cape. We had to catch and weigh 120+ weaner pigs daily to measure performance over a period of time.
