

I have been consulting for the past 8 years in different roles. I have gained knowledge in the Fintech space, been involved in creating and testing bots, audited one of the major Banks, been involved in cybersecurity both from a testing and training perspective amongst other things.
I have been involved in building Internal Competency Education for the ISO 20022 implementation program. I have also been involved in the adoption phase, as the learning curve for the ISO 20022 can be steep and decisions on how Financial Institutions will implement the development and assisting the drawing up of a technical roadmap.
I have assisted Financial Institutions in the Go Live Phase -which a separate, coordinated training effort was needed across the enterprise when the migration needs to go live. The educational program included areas such as Products, Customer Implementation Teams, and Sales to develop and deliver consistent customer (or partner) education, on-boarding processes, and exchange of data between the bank and corporate clients.
As ISO 20022 spans across several financial service domains. It is essential to engage in active dialogue with and/or involve other business areas to take advantage of the ability to reuse the ISO 20022 model across other lines of business and application owners.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders also serves as a platform for future innovations based on ISO 20022. It is advisable to ascertain if the migration must be carried out in numerous steps or performed in one single step.
