- Responsible of planning and executing the delivery of Midea Retail’s opening order with Pick n Pay. We needed to deliver all orders to over 250 locations nationwide within a period of 10 days. Succeeded in completing this task with a 97 % success rate and secured our retail division continuous trade with Pick n Pay.
- Tasked to transfer 900 square meters worth of stock from a partner facility in Langlaagte to our company’s new warehouse in Honeydew. This transfer of stock eliminated the problems of needing to continually arrange for replenishment of stock from the Langlaagte Facility. It also aided our partner company in reducing their overflow warehousing needs by making space previously occupied by us, available to them.
- Responsible for the process of evaluating and selecting a new clearing and forwarding agent for the group.
- Engaged with a select group of service providers to completely overhaul and redesign the supply chain for Midea Retail.
- Successfully initiated business with Barloworld Logistics who are now responsible for handling the bulk of special consignments and orders as well as Midea Retail’s chief linehaul transporter through their Manline Freight division. This relationship enhanced our ability to rapidly deal with sensitive deliveries as well as significantly reduce our cost on inhaul transport due to a more flexible rate structure.
