Evidence Recovery

• Preliminary testing of exhibits is conducted to identify biological specimens, such as hair, skin cells, saliva, blood, and semen.
• Cutting out exhibit areas containing identified biological specimens and packaging them.
• Case file compilation and administration.

Sample Preparation

• Identification of Samples with the highest evidential value.
• Preparation of selected samples for DNA Isolation.
• Packaging of the samples.
• Capturing of samples using the Strlab computer software.
• Administration and handing over samples to the DNA Isolation sub-section.

Forensic Awareness

• Coordination with our various clients and affected groups to hold presentations and interventions.
• Booking of accommodation for Forensic awareness presenters, including myself.
• Presenting and teaching Forensic Laboratory work to our clients, such as detectives, LCRC, Vispol members, prosecutors, medical doctors, and so forth.
