i started working in the steel industry and have been promoted 2 times in the same company for being able to learn quicker and the ability to transfer knowledge to other people , i currently hold a stock managers position which i manage over 400million worth of stock.

• Training of all warehouse staff on the warehouse functions and supply chain processes namely (receipting ,labelling ,receiving, dispatching ,stock returns etc)
• Stock control
• Planning and facilitating daily cycle counts and making sure area supervisors count stock items on a daily basis, and also making sure that we keep records of all movement of stock on the floor during a day shift for investigations purposes
• Stock investigations
• Investigating of all the stock bounces and discrepancies to resolve all stock related issues by adjusting shortages and surplus
• Suppliers Return
• Managing of all suppliers return making sure that the correct stock gets loaded to be sent back to suppliers should there be a need and also filling of suppliers return note to make sure stock its removed from the system
• General Bin maintenance
• Making sure stock is in the right Bin on the floor and on the system at all times by going through each bin every week and requesting Bin Transfers should there be a need

• Duties & Responsibility Receiving Check the purchase order against the delivery notes and ensure that in matches then stock can be offloaded

• 2 Overseeing the receipting process making sure incoming shipments gets receipted in a 24hour turnaround time via Translution on the floor and making sure that stock gets labelled and is done correctly. Overseeing and assisting receiving clerk if needed.
• 3 Ensure turnaround time of vehicles in the yard is monitored to ensure efficiency and avoid penalties from suppliers Inspection and quality control then follows if the purchase order and Pod matches ,if happy with the quality of stock then the stock can be offloaded Direct the trucks to the yard for offloading Receipting stock into the system Receipting & making labels using Translution system Labelling and marking of stock Ensure all stock is colour coded to the company standard
