TECHNICAL
• Diagnose faults in transmission and networking equipment using systematic testing and inspection methods.
• Commission communication equipment and verify proper integration before returning systems to service.
• Conduct site inspections and record technical findings for maintenance follow-up and service planning.
• Test fibre links with OTDR and power-meter equipment to confirm signal integrity and continuity.
• Install DC power systems, batteries, and rectifiers to support uninterrupted equipment operation.
• Support telecommunications network installation for new and upgraded rail communication sites.
• Assemble electrical cabinets and racks according to technical drawings and wiring standards.
• Install fibre-optic and structured cabling for rail communication systems in line with site requirements.
• Install routers, switches, and network equipment during service disruptions and repairs.
• Follow health and safety procedures while completing field work, inspections, and equipment repairs.

• Quality control of electrical signalling racks to identify hazards, defects & the need for adjustment or repair to ensure quality compliance.
