I am currently registered with Tshwane University of Technology from 03-January 2024 to 31-December 2024 for Advance Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, which I intend completing at the end of the year.My first semester modules include Sampling and sample preparation, Thermal Analysis and Kinetic methods, Atomic Spectroscopy and Analytical Chemistry practice. Sampling and sample preparation module assists one in enquiring broad knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of Analytical Chemistry. The subject will also assist one to be able to critically propose and optimize sample preparation methods for any analysis technique found in a variety of samples in related fields of science. At the end of the semester, I will be familiar with various equipments and techniques used in analytical research laboratories and apply principles of sample preparation and preservation .Thermalpreservation.Thermal Analysis and Kinetic methods module helps to develop my knowledge and skills in the process of phase transformation, kinetics and thermodynamics of phase transitions in the analysis of materials by various thermal analytical techniques. This module is enabling one to be familiar with the equipment and techniques used in analytical and research laboratories and to select a thermal analysis technique suitable for solving any given scientific problem and will help me to convey an understanding and application of its concepts and practices. Atomic Spectroscopy module equips me with the knowledge of atomic absorption and emission spectrometry to analyze samples in different matrices and knowledge of atomic fluorescence spectrometry in different matrices as well.
