  • Ensure that the tracking system and the recovering unit on our fleet is updating and active always to ensure 100% of recovery rate annually
  • Conducting driver training to improve driver awareness and knowledge in the field of hijackings, vehicle theft, accidents/incidents and how to report incidents
  • Apply for new license disc and issue the license discs out to our drivers once processed
  • Ensure that all the vehicles that need roadworthy goes for the roadworthy test before the license discs gets expired to ensure compliance
  • Ensuring that the vehicles are serviced within their correct service intervals by planning bookings and ensuring that the appointments are conducted as agreed
  • Approve quotations for any maintenance, battery replacement and tyre replacement within a day of receiving the quotation to prevent long lead times and encourage low prices on the maintenance of vehicle
  • Conduct accidents and incidents report after accidents to ensure that the relevant information is collected for our insurance company, in order for repairs to take place
  • Conduct meetings with the relevant service providers to improve and maintain relationships and identify any loop holes
  • Ensuring our fleet policies and procedures meet our organizations standards
  • Capturing trip sheets and calculating each department’s fuel usage and comparing to kilometers travelled
  • Investigating any irregular spending and high fuel usage on our fleet cards and ensure optimal use of our fleet
  • Ensure that our fleet is available when needed and follow up with repair agents to ensure the reduction of downtime
  • Budgeting annually for fleet operations
  • Monitoring the driver behavior and checking for patterns that can cause the organization money and providing driver training when necessary
  • Ensuring vehicle check sheets/ inspection sheets are done and submitted weekly
  • Administer driver attendance, approve and submit their overtimes
