I pride myself on my ability to Multitask by doing several projects simultaneously and often the various managers are unaware of the diversity and depth of instructions which have been requested of me I firmly believe that the quality of my work is of the highest caliber and that I add great value to any company/organization on many levels During Covid, with the change of all bulding regulations, I headed up the Compliancy, which every company/organization would/will need to comply as per government regulations
When I originally started working, I worked fro a company called Garlicks as a cosmetic consultant. Whilst there, the General Manager of Garlicks at the time, Mr Neil Cowie, saw my work ethic, and asked me to join him as a manager in his store for various departments, reporting directly to him. One year later, MR Cowie resigned and moved to Game Discount World. A few months after his move, he called and offered me a job of buyer of various products for all regional stores . This included Homeware, Sweets and Chocolates, Music and a few other categories.
Buying meant that I was personally meeting with various companies, looking at costing, sales and negotiating promotions. One of the suppliers, was Beacon Sweets and Chocolates.
The representative, was impressed with my work ethic, ideas and knowledge and went to the Head Of Beacon Sweets (TVL) and recommended me for the role of Head of Customer Services manager.
Customer service, especially in the FMCG trade, is very hard to ensure that the client receives the service they deserve and trust in the words that you speak. Through this trust, one particular Client called, Sweetland, offered me a new position within his company that was personally created for me, to enhance their overall input and output.
The reason for my resignation from Sweetland, was that I was due to emigrate to Australia. Due to a culmination of various circumstances, I chose not to emigrate, but rather stay in South Africa.
I have lived in Johannesburg for the past 30 years and have just relocated back to beautiful Cape Town. Covid, taught many companies and people , that its not the area one lives in, but the input and output management is still achieved to the highest of levels, home based or office based.
