I am Keokeditse Molebogeng Ramabya and aviation is a big part of who I am.
I was bit by the aviation bug when I was 17 years old as part of the South African Air Force (SAAF) Young Falcons team and have never looked back since.
After completing my Matric I went straight into the flight operations environment as a student pilot at Loutzavia Flight school in Wonderboom airport from the year 2019 to 2020.
Thereafter I joined ATNS as a TGO (simulator pilot) bursar recipient in March 2020 and served at the Cape Town SSS from April 2021 -Jan 2024 as a TGO.
I recently joined a new role as an ATSO in Cape Town.
I am fascinated by careers in Charting,Cartography ,Obstacle Evaluation ,Aeronautical Surveying , and Flight procedure designing.
It always a been a dream of mine to become a Flight Procedure Designer and to walk one step closer to realising that dream I enrolled for a Diploma in Geomatics at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
I am currently a second year student. This course has exposed me to amongst other skills a basic understanding and knowledge of GIS, Surveying, Photogrammetry, CAD softwares, Map drawing, Technical and Topographical drawing.
I have experience using the following softwares: AllyCAD, GGIS, E-Foto, Civil Designer as well softwares in the Microsoft Package.
I believe my experiences and understanding of the aviation environment together with my passion and zeal for the GIS stream will provide a well seasoned and adaptable addition to the Flight Procedure Design team.
