I have a strong passion for understanding human behavior, cognition, and emotional resilience, backed by a solid foundation in psychological theory, research methods, and critical thinking. My dedication to tackling urgent mental health issues in South Africa stems from an awareness of the barriers to care, widespread stigma, and the limited resources available in our mental health system. I aim to offer accessible therapeutic services, engage in meaningful research, and promote mental health awareness, especially in underserved communities. My experience as a mentor and volunteer in the FYE Mentorship Programme has sharpened my adaptability, analytical skills, and ability to develop personalised mentorship strategies that encourage educational growth. Additionally, my participation in the Wits Food Security Project has allowed me to make a significant contribution to community well-being. I am skilled in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, excel in collaborative environments, and adopt a solutions-oriented mindset to nurture potential and achieve impactful results in various settings.
I volunteered at the Wits Food Sovereignty Centre at Wits University, where I helped maintain community food gardens that provide fresh, nutritious produce to students in need.
