Kagisho Bruce Makanyana

I am a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) graduate who studied in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and did his final year and a half of clinical training at the University of Pretoria. I have also completed a short course in Basic Life Support and currently awaiting to attend courses in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support , Pediatric Advanced Life Support, as well as a course in Basic and Essential Surgical Skills, to deepen my skills and knowledge in the medical field.

I am a well spoken, hardworking and goal driven individual. I possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. I always seek to uphold the highest level of professionalism and I have learnt the ability to establish excellent working relationships, not just with other doctors but other allied personals. I am able to work with diverse teams and people from different backgrounds. I enjoy being part of, as well as managing and motivating a successful and productive team. I thrive in highly pressurized and challenging working environments. I am flexible and very versatile allowing me to perform well all my delegated duties and tasks. I take pride in my ability to adapt and learn quickly, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining utmost discipline. Over the years, I have learned to work independently, sometimes under stressful situations, while at the same time acknowledging my limitations and knowing when to ask for help. I have grown confidence to always advocate for my patients. I have also learnt different languages so I can converse with patients from different backgrounds and ensure holistic care.
