To project manage the establishment of, and effective running of the local Ticketing office for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in particular Host Cities;
Tasks include:
Liaise with and maintain relationship with FIFA and Local Organizing Committee on a daily basis;
Ensure given projects are completed and maintain budget provided – I was responsible for the “signage project” for all Ticketing Centres within South Africa, as well as for ticketing related signage at the stadiums. I was also involved with the design and information collation for the ticketing guides and maps which were provided in the ticketing centres nationwide;
Overseeing the installation of the location to a required specification, including furniture and facilities;
Coordinate the installation of furniture, IT equipment & Ticketing equipment to fit in with the necessary operational time lines;
Liaise with the stadium authorities regarding seat data, and changes to the use of those seats;
Liaise with departments within FIFA and the Local Organizing Committee regarding Ticketing specific requirements, such as signage & branding, Stadium Ticketing Centre & Ticket Clearing points;
Report to internal management regarding the readiness of the area of the project;
Coordinate with supporting members of staff to ensure their own responsibilities are fulfilled;
Oversee the local ticket purchasing & collection operation within the Host City during the event period;
Management of Match Day Ticketing Operations.
