After my tenure at Investec Life, I transitioned back into banking as an external banker, focusing on a new client base that includes newly qualified accounting managers from various firms and associates at legal practices.
I have thoroughly enjoyed returning to banking and have come to realize that my passion lies in working collaboratively with clients, credit, stakeholders, and fellow bankers.
I am now seeking a new challenge that will expose me to different aspects of deal structuring and credit applications. I am wanting to be able to connect with various divisions within Investec and provide an enhanced level of service to a different segment of clients.
I had a brief period in this role where I was involved in daily operational processing and reporting, as well as project road mapping.
There was continuous engagement with key stakeholders such as advisers & underwriters to facilitate resolution of queries.
I was required to assist with changes to policies, processes, systems and products. This included query resolution on operational issues and interaction with external vendors regularly to provide feedback on processing errors, changes and deployment.
I have been a Private Banker for approximately 8 years and throughout my time as a banker I have always aimed to add value to each of my clients. I have learnt to balance their unique needs, queries and requirements by being organized, efficient and understanding. I try to always be proactive with my client engagement and relationship management while still aiming to meet the sales targets.
I know that relationships are paramount to my success as a banker and have therefore always tried to partner and interact professionally and effectively with clients, team mates and stakeholders.
My introduction to Investec started in the Client Support Centre. The role taught me a tremendous amount about people, communication, patience and how to work under pressure
