Key Duties – Support, Verify and Oversee all safety items in the Inland Region as well as indirectly Manage a team of SHEQ leaders.

• Guide regional SHEQ leads, monitor their performance and safety KPI’s.
• Report KPI progress to SSA Senior Management and Directors.
• Liaise with Global Managers on Projects.
• Ensuring Safety Projects meet deadlines and Capital budget allocations as well as achieving the aimed flight path.
• Leading Global and National Projects:
  - Machine Guarding Project for SSA service centers.
  - Truck Stop Project for SSA Service centers.
  - Concept to Completion Project (continuous responsibility) for SSA Service Centers.
  - Capital Projects safety at planning Phases (continuous responsibility)

Finalize and review regional reports that form Part of the SSA Region.

Key Duties - Assisted and guided Operations teams with practical knowledge to identify hazardous situations and drive practical mitigating solutions.

• Auditing the GAP service centers, as well as being a hub the region can refer to when facing Safety related challenges.
• Driving and tracking key safety initiatives such as the Guarding assessments, Pedestrian segregation Phases, new tool implementations, HOP learning team implementation and Risk analysis.
• Safety performance reporting of key areas, weekly and monthly.

Key Duties – Assisting the safety Specialist with First reports on incident investigations.

Serving as a liaison between the Operations Dept and Safety Dept.

Manually checking and assisting in the formation, upkeep and improvement of the GAP Audit system, its filing and all documentation requirements.

Managing , Guiding and training all safety clerks and being a hub of knowledge for them to use.

Monthly Operational safety reports and sending Safety data to the Safety Specialist.

Incident investigation, compiling of first reports and Managing IOD/WCA's

Key Duties - Servicing the allocated service centers with knowledge and frequently visiting to ensure safety filing systems up to standards.

Incident investigation along with GAP duties. Liaising between operations and the safety management, doing frequent document inspections and driving positive safety culture with Operations Management.

Implementing Ground floor safety initiatives and safety campaigns.

Driving staff interaction and communication to improve safety behavior and culture.

Responsibilities remained the same as it was during the Safety Clerk position , but included the Jet Park RPC plant as well as the City Deep FPM service center.

Responsible for the upkeep of the GAP filing system for the Jet Park Service center, as well as internal Safety and GAP related processes.

Managing of permits, external training, licenses and internal training.

Conducting Incident investigations, Safety meeting minutes , tracking and all general safety calendar control was my responsibility.

Driving Near miss reporting.

Interacting with staff and implementing initiative The regional safety team delegated downwards.

Ensuring all audit required processes are in place by use monitoring tools and checklists.

Reporting all safety issues directly to the Plant Manager.

Responsible for the upkeep of the GAP filing system for the Jet Park Service center, as well as internal Safety and GAP related processes.
