Johalene Rousseau

As a dedicated, newly qualified radiation therapist, I aim for excellent patient care while using state of the art technology to treat cancer. As a health care professional team work and communication is key to a functional work environment and therefore I practice these skills daily. My love for helping people reflects in my work attire and attitude. I believe that hard work in a professional environment equals successful cancer treatment.

After gaining experience in the hospitality industry as cabin crew I also became a customer-minded professional committed to safety and service. I am knowledgeable and polished with excellent communication and the ability to work under high pressure.

Dog Walker, Oscars Arc, 03/2021, I helped with dog adoptions by interacting with families interested in adopting by educating them about the animals up for adoption and helped with the understanding of the procedure and needed paperwork.

• Voortrekkers, Caledon, 01/2007 to 2/2017. The Vootrekkers is an Afrikaans organization that aim to develop its members into future leaders with high morals and to develop important life skills. At the end of high school, and my time in the Voortrekkers, I received a national recognized award called Presidentsverkenner. This is the highest achievement in the Voortrekkers and carries a lot of honor.
• Hockey, Overberg High School, Caledon, 2013 to 2017. I played hockey throughout all five years of high school. In my senior year in 2017, I was in the first team.
• Choir, Overberg High School, Caledon, 2013 to 2017. Throughout my entire high school career I was a member of Overberg High School's Choir where we have won multiple awards including Cum Laude at the yearly eisteddfod.

As a health care professional I am currently registered with the South African health care body, HPCSA.
